Therapeutic Care Programme (TCP) - All Metropolitan Areas

We have a number of areas within the TCP Directorate that need volunteers:

  • Mentors for one on one time with children in our care.  This could include: general homework assistance; reading/writing skill development; outings for shopping; a trip to the movies; sports events such as football, soccer, netball or just general recreational activities.  These activities can be undertaken throughout the week after school in some cases or on the weekend and of course, during school holidays.
  • Transportation: we require drivers to take children to and from school in some areas; to and from sporting activities - generally after school or on the weekend; and other ad-hoc events.  For on-going school runs we may be able to reimburse for fuel only.
  • Tutoring: we require tutors to assist with homework and/or literacy and numeracy.  This could take place either in school, the local library or the cottage where the child lives.
