Child Parenting Centres

The announcement was made on Sunday by the Education Minister Peter Collier, identifying the successful 8 organisations that will co-ordinate the inaugural Child Parenting Centres at 10 independent public schools.

Parkerville Children and Youth Care was successful in our bids for 2 schools – Challis, where we have had an association for 5 years and Brookeman, where we have more recently introduced our services. Both schools are in the South East (Armadale region) metro area where our service capacity continues to grow substantially.

This is an exciting addition to our primary services of early intervention and prevention. Our School Based Support Services provide services in 13 schools, 9 in the South East metro and 4 in the Mirrabooka area. The new Child Parenting Centres will co-ordinate a range of services for the families within the schools region to support children and their parents.
